Description

Water Loop Heat Pump (WLHP) systems connect distributed terminal units to a closed-loop water circuit operating between 15°C and 32°C, providing simultaneous heating and cooling across multi-zone facilities. By routing heat rejected from cooling zones into the loop to serve heating zones, the system eliminates traditional four-pipe distribution networks.

Key Features

Internal Energy Reclamation: Transfers core cooling heat rejection to perimeter heating loads, reducing auxiliary boiler and cooling tower energy consumption.
Independent Zone Control: Autonomous terminal units allow local temperature setpoints per tenant without seasonal changeover limitations.
Compact Concealed Profile: Low-profile horizontal ducted and vertical console configurations fit standard ceiling plenums and perimeter spaces.
Acoustic Dampening: Double-wall insulation, isolated compressor mounts, and low-RPM blowers achieve operating noise levels down to 38 dB(A) at 1.5 meters.

Technology & Performance

Refrigerant Circuit: Features hermetic scroll compressors and bidirectional thermal expansion valves (TXV). Operates across entering water temperatures (EWT) from 10°C to 45°C. Fully compatible with low-GWP refrigerants (R32, R454B) to meet EPA AIM Act and EU F-Gas regulations.
Coaxial Heat Exchanger: Inner copper tubes feature enhanced internal rifling to maximize fluid turbulence and heat transfer coefficients; outer steel shells withstand operating pressures up to 2.0 MPa.
Microprocessor Control: On-board controllers monitor EWT, refrigerant pressures, and coil freeze-protection sensors, logging fault diagnostics for rapid maintenance.
BMS Connectivity: RS-485 interfaces support native Modbus RTU or optional plug-in BACnet MS/TP modules for centralized building automation and tenant sub-metering.

Applications

Commercial Office Towers: Manages simultaneous core cooling (internal heat gains from occupants/lighting) and perimeter heating (winter envelope losses).
Hotels & Hospitality: Delivers independent guest-room temperature control with minimal piping infrastructure compared to four-pipe fan coil systems.
Educational Facilities: Allows selective zone conditioning across classrooms, administrative offices, and auditoriums based on occupancy schedules.
Mixed-Use Developments: Simplifies utility cost allocation through precise energy sub-metering per tenant zone.

OEM & ODM Customization

Manufacturing partnerships support brand owners, regional distributors, and system integrators with flexible engineering modifications:

Structural Dimensions: Customized casing dimensions, powder-coated galvanized steel gauge thickness, SS304 drain pans, and air discharge/return configurations.
Hardware Selection: Integration of specified compressor brands, EC fan motors for VAV applications, and proprietary control boards.
Private Labeling: Laser-etched nameplates, customized technical manuals, branded packaging, and customized control firmware interfaces.

Quality Control & Testing

Factory verification protocols executed prior to dispatch:

Pressure Testing: Coaxial exchangers and refrigerant circuits undergo 3.0 MPa dry nitrogen pressure testing and helium mass-spectrometer leak detection.
Electrical Safety: Dielectric withstand voltage testing (1800V for 1 second), earth continuity checks, and insulation resistance testing (>50 MΩ) on every unit.
Run-Test Simulation: Units connect to a dynamometer test loop to verify cooling/heating capacity, current draw, superheat/subcooling parameters, and sensor calibration.
Certifications: Manufactured under ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Complies with AHRI 320/340, UL 1995 / CSA C22.2, and CE directives.

Packaging & Shipping

Export-Grade Crate: Secured to fumigation-free wooden pallets, wrapped in polyethylene film, and enclosed in heavy-duty corrugated cardboard reinforced with edge protectors.

Port Protection: Water connections and electrical knockouts sealed with threaded plastic caps against dust and moisture during transit.

Logistics Handling: Engineered for forklift and overhead crane handling. Standard container loading supports 20'GP and 40'HQ ocean freight configurations.

FAQ

Q: What is the standard allowable entering water temperature (EWT) range?

A: Standard operation ranges from 15°C to 32°C (60°F to 90°F). Extended range models (10°C to 45°C) are available with glycol additives and customized expansion valves.

Q: How is simultaneous heating and cooling managed?

A: Heat rejected from cooling units is absorbed by loop water and utilized by heating units. Excess loop heat is rejected via the central cooling tower; supplemental heat is added via the boiler if loop temperature drops.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom OEM orders?

A: Standard catalog models have no strict MOQ. Custom sheet metal, proprietary control software, or private-label branding requires an MOQ of 50 units per model series.

Q: What is the typical production lead time?

A: Standard production lead time is 25 to 30 days upon drawing approval and deposit receipt. Custom OEM configurations require 35 to 45 days.
