Design of Water Tank

Vertical & Horizontal
Our tanks and pressure vessels are available in either a vertical or horizontal orientation, depending on your requirements and plants space.

Sockets or Flanged
All ports are sockets by default, with flanged fittings on request.

Material Selection

All tanks are manufactured from mild steel or equivalent.

Coating

Tanks are degreased and sandblasted. Tanks are then internally coated with a solvent free zinc phosphate glass flake epoxy, and externally with two-component acrylic polyurethane based protective coating that forms an attractive, high gloss, re-coatable, colourfast, abrasion and weather resistant topcoat.

Quality Control

All welds are visually inspected and tested using Dye Penetration.

Inspection Manhole

All tanks from a 1,000L and bigger have a large 400NB manhole that allows for easy inspection, maintenance, and repairs.

Lagging and cladding

Tanks are insulated using lagging cladding per client request. This helps to reduce heat loss from hot water vessels to the environment. Reduction in heat loss means energy is utilised more effectively which reduces energy costs.

After Sales Support

Maintenance of Heat Pumps
A heat pump’s lifespan is approximately 10 to 15 years or more. With proper maintenance, their life can be extended to up to much more years. They do require regular maintenance: once a year, you should check certain details of the system yourself, and you shall have the professional installer needs to have the system a look every year once the warranty period is over.

Servicing
Servicing should be undertaken by a qualified engineer. It is important that the evaporator matrix is clear of debris as any build up could significantly affect the performance of the heat pump.

Guarantees
Air Source Heat Pumps are guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase (excluding consumable items), subject to being serviced annually and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This warranty can also be extended to 3 years for an additional fee.

A: Hot water tank: Annual maintenance typically involves cleaning the pilot assembly and the flame sensor or thermocouple. On a biannual basis, be sure to change both the drain valve and pressure relief valve, and complete a flush. Tankless hot water heater: Complete a back-flush and replace the flow sensor annually.

Q: Do hot water tanks need to be serviced?

A: We recommend that you have your hot water cylinder serviced annually to: Ensure efficient performance at all times from your cylinder (and a continuous hot water supply!) Prevent unexpected bills, with early identification of potential concerns, reducing costly breakdown and emergency call outs.
