Description

The CHP-HEV series delivers heavy-duty thermal capacity for commercial buildings, industrial process loops, and district energy networks. Engineered with a dual-circuit multi-compressor layout and Enhanced Vapor Injection (EVI) technology, the system sustains stable heating performance down to -25°C ambient and produces hot water up to 85°C.
Housed in a rugged structural steel chassis coated with corrosion-resistant polyester powder, the unit withstands demanding coastal and industrial environments. It integrates directly into central mechanical rooms or rooftop yards with standardized hydronic and electrical interfaces.

Key Features

Multi-Stage Capacity Modulation: Independent refrigerant circuits utilize multi-compressor staging to match real-time building loads, preventing short-cycling and flattening power consumption profiles.
Cold-Climate EVI Operation: Intermediate vapor injection maintains refrigerant mass flow in sub-zero ambients, preventing heating capacity drop-offs at -15°C without relying on auxiliary electric resistance heaters.
Marine-Grade Coil Protection: Inner-grooved copper tubing bonded to hydrophilic aluminum fins, finished with an epoxy corrosion coating tested to > 1000 hours neutral salt spray.
Predictive Defrost Logic: Microprocessor monitors real-time suction pressure, coil temperature, and ambient humidity, executing dynamic reverse-cycle defrosts only when frost buildup restricts air passage.

Technology & Performance

EVI Scroll and Screw Mechanics
Units incorporate high-efficiency scroll or inverter-screw compressors. By injecting flash-cooled vapor directly into the compression pocket, discharge gas temperatures remain strictly controlled while volumetric capacity increases by 22% under low ambient conditions.
Heat Exchanger & Expansion Control
Shell-and-Tube Evaporator/Condenser: Optimized shell-and-tube water circuits minimize fouling risks and accommodate variable flow rates with low hydraulic resistance.
Dual Electronic Expansion Valves (EEV): Twin 500-step EEVs track superheat parameters within +/- 0.5°C, maximizing evaporator surface efficiency across all partial load steps.
Structural Acoustic Dampening
Compressors sit within an isolated, acoustically insulated compartment lined with flame-retardant melamine foam. Heavy-duty elastomeric vibration eliminators are factory-fitted beneath every compressor base frame.

Applications

Hotels & Hospitality: Combined domestic hot water generation and space heating/cooling via centralized multi-pipe or heat-recovery configurations.

Healthcare Facilities: Hospital complex climate control and high-temperature sanitization loops requiring redundant multi-circuit reliability.

Educational Campuses: Central mechanical plant upgrades supplying district loops for lecture halls and residential dormitories.

Industrial Processing: Process fluid pre-heating, closed-loop cooling, and industrial washing station thermal maintenance.

System Solutions

System Architecture Flow:
[ Air Source / Glycol Loop ] -> [ Commercial High-Capacity Heat Pump (CHP-HEV Series) ] -> [ Thermal Storage Buffer Tank ] -> (Split into Plate Heat Exchangers for Space Heating / Domestic Hot Water) -> [ Fan Coil Units / AHU / Sanitary Tap Out ]
Hydronic Configuration: Engineered for primary-secondary pumping layouts, multi-tank buffer integration, and plate heat exchanger separation for potable water generation.
Heat Recovery Add-On: Available with factory-installed desuperheaters to reclaim up to 20% of rejected condenser heat during cooling mode for free domestic hot water up to 70°C.

OEM & ODM Customization

Refrigerant Options: Engineered for low-GWP transitions including R32, R290 (explosion-proof ATEX compliance), and R744 (CO2).

Hydronic Material Upgrades: Flanged or Victaulic grooved connections with 304/316L stainless steel internal water circuits for aggressive or deionized water environments.

Electrical Compliance: Control panel designs built to regional industrial standards (UL/CSA electrical panels for North America, CE for Europe).

Private Labeling: Custom sheet metal enclosures, specific RAL color powder coating, and localized HMI operator interfaces.

Quality Control & Testing

Helium Mass Spectrometer Testing: Every assembled refrigerant circuit undergoes high-pressure helium pressure testing to verify leak tightness below 1 x 10^-7 Pa*m3/s.

Automated Dynamometer Run-Test: 100% of finished units undergo full-load operational testing in a computer-controlled test bench, logging operational currents, pressures, and COP values prior to sign-off.

Electrical Hipot Inspection: Dielectric strength verification (1800V isolation test for 1s) and earth-bonding checks executed on all switchgear.

Global Certifications: Manufactured in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited facility. Units comply with CE, AHRI 550/590 guidelines, and ETL safety listings.

FAQ

Q: What is the lowest outdoor ambient temperature for heating operation?

A: Standard configurations maintain stable heating output down to -25°C ambient via EVI compressor injection technology.

Q: How does the unit interface with third-party Building Management Systems (BMS)?

A: The onboard PLC includes an RS485 communication port running Modbus RTU as standard, with optional gateways for BACnet IP and LonWorks.

Q: What are the feed-water quality limitations for the plate or shell heat exchangers?

A: Total hardness must remain < 150 mg/L, chloride content < 50 mg/L, and pH within 7.0 to 8.5. Titanium heat exchangers are specified for poor water qualities.

Q: How are these heavy commercial units crated and transported?

A: Units are bolted to structural timber skids, enclosed in heavy shrink wrapping, and protected with moisture-barrier film. Forklift channels and lifting lugs are integrated into the main base frame.
